Budgewoi Dental

Technology

Our experienced Budgewoi dentists are dedicated to using the most advanced and up-to-date dental technologies available to make your visits more convenient, comfortable and efficient. Learn more about the modern technologies we use at Budgewoi Dental below.

Intraoral Cameras

We use intraoral camera technology at Budgewoi Dental to show the patient exactly what the dentist is seeing, which helps the patient better understand the dentist's diagnosis and how the treatments we recommend will help fix the situation. Intraoral cameras provide high-resolution images that appear immediately on a chairside screen, so we can clearly communicate your dental situation quickly and easily.

We can also use the intraoral camera to take images during an exam, which we can save for our patients' files. These images can be used for a variety of purposes, including documentation for insurance companies or as reference material at a future appointment, where we can use them to track developing dental issues.

Zoom! Teeth Whitening

Chairside teeth whitening provides fast, beautiful results for many patients. In fact, many patients see dramatic changes in tooth shade in under an hour. Teeth whitening is a safe, effective method for making smile improvements, and it's one of the most affordable cosmetic treatments available.

To complete chairside teeth whitening at Budgewoi Dental, the dentist will carefully cover your gums to limit exposure to the whitening gel. Then, the dentist will apply the whitening gel to your teeth. Finally, we'll activate the gel with a special light. After that, the patient can simply relax while the gel does its work.

Soft Laser Dentistry

Soft laser dentistry is an ideal choice for many patients with dental anxiety. With soft laser dentistry, our dentists can use a high-energy light beam to perform some dental procedures that involve soft tissues. Soft laser dentistry is often used during crown lengthening procedures, which may involve reshaping of the gums, and when treating gummy smiles or frenula problems.

There are many benefits with soft laser dentistry, including the fact that there is no electric sound, like a drill emits, that increase anxiety in a nervous patient. A procedure performed with a laser may also be more comfortable for a patient, heal more quickly, lessen the risk of infection and require fewer sutures.

In-Chair Entertainment

We have flat screens installed on the ceiling of our dental clinic exam rooms, so you can enjoy a pleasant distraction during your check-ups and procedures. We've found this is often helpful for anxious patients and for people who need lengthy dental treatment. You can either watch Netflix on the screen or listen to calming music. If there's anything else we can provide that will help you feel more relaxed during your visit, let our friendly team know.

Apex Locator

The apex locator is an electronic device that helps us determine the length of the root canal, which helps us in planning your procedure. We can use the data provided by the apex locator to increase the accuracy and precision of a root canal treatment. It's an excellent tool that makes treatment more efficient. When we use this technology, we can often save time during the planning process, take fewer x-rays and deliver a higher quality procedure to our patients.
